Completion Date: October 2011
Type of Construction: General Contracting
Owner: Simmons Metal Container

A snow storm in early 2011 caused the metal building housing Simmons Food’s can manufacturing facility in Fort Gibson, OK to collapse.  We were asked to demolish the approximate 100,000 square foot portion that collapsed, get them operational again and erect a new building over the whole site without hindering operation.  We shored the portion of the building that remained standing and demolished the collapse which allowed operations to resume within 8 days after the initial collapse.  We then proceeded to erect the new building over the existing structure that remained.  Once the new building was up, we demolished the old structure out from underneath it.
